OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) — The Opelika Police Department says three men were taken into custody for their alleged connection to robberies.
According to Opelika PD, officers responded to a robbery that happened at the Color Vision Rent to Own, located at 3412 Pepperell Parkway.
The victim told police that they were meeting two males in the parking lot to sell a firearm. The two men agreed to buy the firearm and drove away to get the cash.
The pair then returned with another man, and during the transaction, one of the suspects reportedly pointed a gun at the victim before taking their money and the firearm that was on sale.
Opelika PD’s investigation led to 20-year-old Kenyan Dashun Vann of Opelika, being taken into custody by authorities for first-degree robbery on June 30.
