Suspected gang member arrested after ‘serious event’ in Clarksville. What we know
A suspected gang member is in custody in southern Indiana after a “targeted attack” left a person with serious injuries Saturday.
According to a Facebook post from the Clarksville Police Department, officers were called to the area of Blackiston Mill Road and Marlowe Drive due to a confrontation at around 10 p.m. Saturday. Officials said the situation escalated to a “serious event” prior to their arrival and a person found at the scene suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
A suspect who police believe may be connected to the MS-13 gang was found and arrested early Sunday morning in Jeffersonville, Indiana, officials said, and is currently facing a charge of attempted murder.
More information in the case will be released Monday, according to the Facebook post.
