Two men accused of assault at Cordova restaurant

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men have been arrested Tuesday after allegedly assaulting a person at a Mexican restaurant in Cordova.

Jaidan Walker, 18, is being charged with Assault. His bond has not been set. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Jon Harrison, 18, is being charged with Assault. His bond has not been set. His court date has not been scheduled.

On Mar. 3, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office investigated an Aggravated Assault that occurred at 9:50 p.m. on Feb. 26 at La Fagota Mexican Restaurant on Houston Levee Road.

The victim told the sheriff that he had come to the restaurant to meet his girlfriend. When he tried to walk inside, he was approached by Walker, who asked the victim who he was multiple times. The victim ignored him.

According to reports, Walker said he was going to spit on the victim. Walker approached the victim and attempted to grab him.

MPD investigating the death of two people

Deputies said that the victim grabbed Walker in self-defense and pushed him against the wall. Both of them then fell to the ground.

According to deputies, they identified two more suspects, Jon Harrison and another man who hasn’t been charged. Both suspects allegedly punched the victim in the face and head.

On Mar. 3, the suspects walked into the SCSO substation and told officials they were involved in an altercation at the Mexican restaurant.

Harrison told detectives he observed the victim and Walker in a physical altercation and helped Walker when he punched the victim multiple times.
