Kechi police seize cash, loaded guns, and drugs in traffic stop

KECHI, Kan. (KSNW) – An early morning traffic stop in Kechi resulted in quite the seizure.

Just after 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers in Kechi conducted a traffic stop, during which they seized $3,810, two loaded firearms (one of which was stolen), and narcotics.

“To the criminals who think they can hide and or operate in Small Town USA…. Think again, we got nothing but time. Your days are numbered,” the Kechi Police Department said on Facebook.

The KPD says that the following charges are pending:

  • Felon in possession of a firearm

  • Felony interference with law enforcement

  • Expired driver’s license

“Our Officers are dedicated to the safety and protection of our community,” the KPD said.
