Three critically injured in Wichita crash, alcohol suspected

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Three people were critically hurt in a crash Saturday night involving two vehicles in west Wichita.

It happened just after 8 p.m. at the intersection of St. Louis and Young streets, near Central and West. Police say a Ford Mustang collided with a GMC Acadia.

All three people in the Mustang were taken to the hospital in suspected critical condition. One passenger was thrown from the car. The GMC driver was treated at the scene, and a passenger in that vehicle was also hospitalized.

Police believe alcohol may have been a factor. The crash is under investigation.
