Two people are injured after reports of a shooting in a residential area of Des Moines .
Des Moines Police Department and Des Moines Fire Department medics were still at the 1800 block of College Avenue following the shooting, according to a news release from law enforcement at 6:45 a.m. Aug. 6.
The two injured individuals were transported to Broadlawns Medical Center, with one of them being self-transported, according to the release. Police believe there is no ongoing danger to the neighborhood, and additional information will be shared as it is available.
