Arkansas State Police arrests man in Eudora after nationwide alert
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas State Police troopers arrested a man who was at the center of a nationwide alert in Eudora.
According to ASP officials, state troopers arrested 40-year-old Richard Dewayne Pope Thursday. ASP officials said they were informed that Pope was considered dangerous and traveling through Chicot County on a motorcycle.

State troopers said Pope was found at a convenience store on Highway 65 South in Eudora. ASP officials said he was taken to the Drew County Detention Center where he is awaiting extradition to Louisiana. Pope is from Oak Grove, Louisiana, officials said.
Pope is facing several charges including six counts of second-degree attempted murder, six counts of impeding a witness, insurance fraud, aggravated arson and obstruction of justice due to evidence destruction.
