Aussie Billionaire Adrian Portelli’s New $3 Million Car Makes His McLaren Crane Stunt Look Tame

  • Adrian Portelli gained fame by lifting his McLaren Senna GTR 57 stories into his Melbourne penthouse.
  • He is adding a $3 million car, one of only two in Australia, to his collection.
  • Portelli transforms vehicles like his $84,000 Jeep into standout machines.

We’ve been following the antics of the (in)famous Adrian Portelli for some time. The controversial Australian billionaire turned car aficionado who previously made headlines by craning his McLaren Senna GTR over fifty-seven stories into his Melbourne penthouse is now adding a $3 million Koenigsegg Jesko to his already jaw-dropping collection.

Portelli Loves His Cars

Adrian Portelli’s passion for cars seemingly knows no bounds or, you might argue, reason. Determined to showcase his fancy McLaren Senna GTR, he orchestrated one heck of a PR stunt back in 2023: using a crane, he lifted the supercar nearly sixty stories into his penthouse apartment, much to the shock of the Australian press.

This move turned his home into a showroom of automotive excellence, and Portelli into a yet more divisive public figure. He spoke with 9 News at the time:

“It was sitting in a factory and I can’t drive it on the road… I decided to have it craned up there instead. It’s an art piece.”

Portelli’s Shiny, New Koenigsegg Jesko

Never one to settle, Portelli is set to welcome the Koenigsegg Jesko into his collection in the coming weeks. Valued at $3 million, this automotive beast is poised to become the second Koenigsegg Jesko ever to reside in Australia. Here’s what makes this addition so special…

Featuring exposed carbon fibre bodywork accented with gold leaf detailing on the front splitter, aero flicks, sides, rear wing endplates, and mirror stalks — each embossed with the iconic Koenigsegg ‘Ghost’ logo — it’s quite the thing to look at. Step inside and you’ll find Desiato Alcantara interiors complete with complimentary gold stitching.

Under the hood, a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivers 1,280 horsepower and a very punchy 1,600 horsepower. Unlike his McLaren Senna, the Jesko is road-legal, meaning Portelli can actually take this automotive wonder for a spin.

A Unique Addition To Portelli’s Collection

Portelli’s collection extends beyond incredibly expensive supercars. He also recently purchased an $84,000 Jeep… but Portelli being Portelli, he had to go the extra mile. Not content with the standard model, Portelli invested heavily in customising the Jeep, transforming it into an undeniably epic off-road beast that still manages to stand out amidst a high-octane lineup.

What’s Next for Adrian Portelli?

With the Jesko set to join his ranks, Portelli continues to push the boundaries of Australian car collecting. Fingers crossed that this new whip is never elevated to the same lofty heights as his McLaren Senna…
