RWA Sector To Reach $4 Trillion by 2035 – CryptoMode

The tokenized real-world asset sector is emerging as one of the most promising frontiers in crypto. A recent report by Deloitte forecasts that the tokenized real estate market alone could grow to $4 trillion by 2035. With institutional giants like BlackRock and Fidelity making strides in on-chain finance, investor interest is shifting toward assets that bridge traditional finance with the efficiency of blockchain.

On-chain data supports this trend. According to Rwa.xyz, the total value of tokenized RWAs has surged past $20 billion, with steep gains since early 2024 driven primarily by private credit and U.S. Treasury-backed assets.

The sector is also rapidly diversifying, incorporating commodities, corporate debt, and even alternative funds into the on-chain economy.

What are the top RWA Proyects Leading the Sector?

Ondo (ONDO) continues to assert its dominance, boasting a market capitalization of $3.08 billion. Its recent 16% weekly gain reflects strong investor appetite for tokenized Treasuries and fixed-income products, especially as the project deepens its institutional partnerships and on-chain infrastructure.

Pendle (PENDLE) has also maintained its upward trajectory, rising over 11% this week. By enabling users to tokenize and trade future yield flows, such as those tied to sDAI and fUSDC, Pendle sits at the intersection of DeFi and real-world asset yield strategies, making it a unique RWA contender.

Meanwhile, MANTRA (OM) has drawn mixed reactions. Despite logging a 19% gain over the past week, the token was recently in the headlines after it plunged by over 90% in a few hours.

Although the team swiftly addressed the situation, the incident introduced short-term uncertainty. Still, OM’s rebound highlights continued interest in its broader vision of bringing regulated assets and tokenization infrastructure to the chain.

Institutional activity continues to shape the sector’s trajectory. BlackRock’s BUIDL tokenized fund, launched on Ethereum, now holds a significant portion of tokenized Treasury assets. Hashnote’s USYC and Ondo’s suite of products are following suit, highlighting the growing acceptance of tokenized fixed-income instruments.
