Coroner IDs pedestrian who died in Tuesday’s crash
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) – The Mesa County Coroner’s Office announced Friday the identity of the pedestrian who died in a crash earlier this week.
Grand Junction resident Tammy Turner, 63, was walking in the roadway near 28 3/4 Road and North Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle, according to the coroner’s office. She sustained injuries from the crash and was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after.
Her death was due to injuries from being struck by the car, the coroner’s office said.
The Grand Junction Police Department is overseeing the investigation into the crash.
