Ethereum celebrates its ten years of existence with the Time Capsule

Ethereum is about to celebrate its first 10 years of existence and on this occasion, it is launching the initiative Ethereum Time Capsule, the permanent archive of the network’s history. In practice, from June 30 to July 30, anyone can send memories, messages, memes, forecasts, art, and artifacts on the chain.
The initiative is led by the community, supported by EthCC, Protocol Guild, and Shutter Network. Here are all the details.
Ethereum and its First Ten Years: the Time Capsule Initiative
Ethereum is preparing to celebrate its first decade with the new initiative Ethereum Time Capsule, the permanent archive of the network’s history.
Starting from June 30 to July 30 (July 30, 2025, is Ethereum’s tenth birthday), anyone can register and participate in the initiative. For the occasion, a new X account has also been established.
In practice, the Ethereum Time Capsule will collect memories, messages, memes, predictions, art, and artifacts on the chain from builders, artists, traders, and users from all over the world. The initiative is community-driven, supported by EthCC, Protocol Guild, and Shutter Network, which invites the entire Ethereum ecosystem to leave its mark permanently on the chain.
Each contribution costs about $2.50 (0.001 ETH). 100% of the proceeds go to the Protocol Guild, which supports the long-term sustainability of Ethereum core development.
Not only that, the submissions to the capsule will be encrypted using Shutter Network’s threshold cryptography, meaning they will remain completely private and tamper-proof until the unstoppable revelation on the 11th anniversary of Ethereum, July 30, 2026.
Once decrypted, each contribution will be immutably recorded on the Ethereum blockchain forever.
In this regard, Luis Bezzenberger, product manager at brainbot, one of the main collaborators of Shutter Network, commented:
“The Ethereum Time Capsule is an easy-to-use application of threshold cryptography, which preserves collective memory while ensuring tamper resistance and protection from censorship”

The Ethereum Time Capsule was presented at the EthCC[8] event, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

In this regard, Jérôme de Tychey, President of Ethereum-France and Founder of EthCC commented:
“Celebrating our history is essential to nurture the culture and values of Ethereum. The last 10 years have been one of the most exciting adventures of the millennia. We are pleased to support this initiative, which is a great way to kick off the next decade of blockchain adoption!”
The latest news on Inflow and price of ETH
In this June that has come to an end, Ethereum seems to have recorded good news in terms of inflow and price growth of ETH, even if in a different way.
“`html
On June 23, in fact, the blockchain of Ethereum experienced a significant cross-chain liquidity inflow of 274 million dollars. The inflows of June 26, however, increased to over 307 million dollars still within 24 hours.

These data can represent a clear indicator of a possible Ethereum rally, supported by the entry of institutional investors and the movement of cross-chain capital. In fact, it seems that the layer 2 of Base and Arbitrum are playing a key role in facilitating this growth, increasing scalability and efficiency in the trading of the asset.
Looking instead at the price of ETH, on June 26th the value is $2,461, a dump of -6.7% compared to 30 days earlier. And indeed, in this June 2025, the maximum price of ETH was $2,870, reached exactly on June 11th.
On that same day, it was calculated that ETFs on ETH would have attracted over 800 million dollars in the two preceding weeks, more than double compared to the less than 400 million recorded by Bitcoin in the same period.
In any case, Ethereum is still far from its ATH – All-Time High or historical price maximum of over $4600, reached on November 13, 2021.
On the contrary, Bitcoin is recording inflows lower than Ethereum, while the price oscillates around its all-time high of over $111,000.
