Evidence of rodent infestation found at area Kroger location. What we know
Louisville health officials are investigating after evidence of a rodent infestation was found at an area Kroger location.
Louisville Metro Health and Wellness Communications Director Kathy Turner said signs of the infestation were found in three aisles of the Goss Avenue location that included bread and pasta products. Employees were asked to close the aisles, remove all products and break down the shelves to help start the extermination process.
Turner said inspectors observed progress during a June 12 follow-up visit, but added more work needed to be completed. Another evaluation will be conducted June 16.
Officials from Kroger have not yet responded to a request for comment.
