Flare Launches Luminite: Seedless Wallet to Simplify DeFi Access

- Beyond onboarding, Flare’s growing range of DeFi protocols may be accessed directly via Luminite.
- Power users can access whatever they need more quickly with Luminite’s fully integrated processes and user-friendly design, which also reduces the barrier for new users.
Today, Flare, the data blockchain, announced the launch of Luminite, a seedless, non-custodial wallet that makes it simple for anybody to begin utilizing DeFi on Flare, particularly XRP holders.
With the help of Turnkey’s integrated wallet technology, Luminite enables users to quickly create a wallet using well-known sign-in techniques like email, biometrics, or passkeys—all without the need to write down or save a seed phrase. With Luminite, consumers keep a Web2-like user experience while still having control over their assets. Through Topper and other connected fiat on-ramp partners, new users may contribute funds to buy FLR, XRP, and other supported assets. With a few clicks, all of this is possible.
Steve Chadwick, Co-founder of Luminite stated:
“Luminite was built with one goal in mind: to bridge the gap between Web2 and Web3 users. By removing complex barriers of entry, we’re enabling anyone – from first-time users to seasoned crypto holders – to access the full power of the Flare ecosystem. This is about making DeFi approachable, not just for the crypto-native, but for the next wave of users discovering blockchain through real utility.”
Beyond onboarding, Flare’s growing range of DeFi protocols may be accessed directly via Luminite. Without ever leaving the Luminite interface, users may assign FLR to FTSO (Flare Time Series Oracle) data providers, mint FXRP using FAssets, exchange tokens within the wallet, bridge assets using Stargate, and engage in liquid staking by minting sFLR on Sceptre.
With increasing involvement and TVL across protocols, DeFi activity on Flare is still expanding. Power users can access whatever they need more quickly with Luminite’s fully integrated processes and user-friendly design, which also reduces the barrier for new users.
In order to encourage new users to investigate the Flare ecosystem via education and engagement-based incentives, Flare also unveiled plans for a future Learn & Earn initiative with Revolut.
Max Luck, Head of Growth at Flare stated:
“DeFi should be accessible to everyone. Luminite not only enables seedless login, but makes the first five minutes of DeFi feel like a TradFi app – without compromising control or security.”
Now available at luminite.app, Luminite provides a streamlined gateway for anyone wishing to investigate DeFi on Flare.
Blockchain interoperability is given top priority by Flare, a Layer 1 network that gives dApps safe, decentralized access to external data and resources. Flare provides developers with a straightforward and cohesive stack for creating decentralized applications that can securely use data from sources outside the Flare network, such as prices and blockchain state, thanks to its native data acquisition protocols, the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO), and the Flare Data Connector. By integrating non-smart contract assets like XRP, Bitcoin, and Dogecoin onto Flare for usage in DeFi and other applications, this innovative architecture aims to create a genuinely integrated blockchain economy.
