Is the Nintendo Switch 2 Ready for VR?

That’s an unanswered question that Nintendo hasn’t yet stated in that announcement teaser. Well, the supports VR games, and that’s also in a large number. The list includes The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Among Us, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Super Smash Bros: Ultimate, and many more.

Now that the Switch 2 looks bigger and stronger than the original Switch console, it will probably have all the Switch features, along with a few new ones. Also, Nintendo’s next-gen console reportedly will support the 3DS and Nintendo DS, which even the current Switch console stopped supporting. In that case, it’s highly unlikely that, being a next-gen console, it will skip the fan-popular VR feature.

There’s another thing to note: at the end of the announcement teaser, Nintendo declared that almost will be supported on this new console except for a few. So, for the first time, Nintendo is adding backward compatibility to its console. In that case, it is logical that the VR games will also be supported on the new-gen console, and as usual.

Anyway, these are all speculations at this point without any evidence. Until Nintendo announces the VR thing, no one can confirm whether these consoles will have it.
