Jacob & Co. Delivers A World-First Tourbillon At Watches & Wonders
- Jacob & Co. has unveiled a four-axis Tourbillon at Watches & Wonders.
- The new Jacob & Co. Tourbillon is the first of its kind.
- For a 47mm rose gold monolith, this timepiece is outrageously intricate.
Ten years ago, Jacob & Co. launched the Astronomia: a watch that redefined the limits of high watchmaking by breaking every rule in the book… literally. It was oversized, overengineered, and unapologetically extravagant. Just like Jacob & Co., then.
The Astronomia turned dials, tourbillons, and precious gemstones into a kind of orbital theatre to wear on one’s wrist. Now, for 2025, the brand marks ten years of this genre-defying creation with something that could only come from Jacob: the Astronomia Revolution Four-Axis Tourbillon. A world-first, because three axes were never going to be enough.
For a 47mm rose gold monolith, this timepiece is outrageously intricate. The entire rotating platform, carrying the tourbillon and time display, completes a full revolution every 60 seconds.
The four axes cycle at 18, 15, and 60 seconds respectively, powered by a constant-force mechanism that pulses every sixth of a second. It’s a blur of engineering and audacity that seems less like a watch and more like a kinetic sculpture. Limited to just 18 pieces, this is what happens when gravity, convention, and moderation are all left behind. Something Jacob & Co. has consistently delivered, time and time again.
