Kansas City police investigating after teenager fatally shot while walking in neighborhood

A teenage boy was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in Kansas City while walking in a neighborhood. Police were dispatched around 2:30 p.m. after the teen arrived at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit with gunshot wounds. Early indications are that the shooting happened near East 88th Place and James A. Reed Road.
