France: the launch of the new collection of NFT stamps by La Poste
In France, La Poste will launch on the upcoming September 16, 2025, a new NFT stamp collection themed around the French rooster, the emblematic figure of the national heritage.
Called #NFTimbre5 – COQS FRANÇAIS, the new collection consists of four blocks sold individually, also available in a package.
Each NFTimbre consists of a block of a physical stamp and its digital twin. The fifth NFT will instead be in digital format only and will be offered with the purchase of the package.
As anticipated, the protagonist of the stamps is the French rooster, which will be shown in a typical landscape of the territory: coast, mountain, countryside, and city.
The main NFT of the collection
Specifically, the #NFTimbre5.1 features the sea rooster navigating along the coast. In #NFTimbre5.2, the mountain rooster, an intrepid cyclist, is expected to wind through the snowy peaks. The #NFTimbre5.3 highlights the country rooster, equipped with a telescope, contemplating the fertile plains in search of new horizons.
Following, the #NFTimbre5.4 features the city Rooster, calm and elegant, enjoying a moment on the terrace, with a coffee in hand and eyes immersed in his newspaper.
The NFT token COQS FRANÇAIS (exclusively in digital version) is offered with the purchase of the Pack that brings together the four NFTimbre of the series #NFTimbre5.
The various works of COQS FRANÇAIS for the stamps of La Poste were created by the artist Gwen Kerava.
France and the fifth collection of NFT stamps by La Poste
#NFTimbre5 – COQS FRANÇAIS is the fifth collection of physical and NFT stamps offered by La Poste française. The previous #NFTimbre4, for example, was themed Monuments 3.0.
La Poste describes how blockchain technology offers its advantages, such as having an unalterable digital certificate of authenticity. Also, the traceability of each NFTimbre is well appreciated on the blockchain.
In fact, the NFTimbre automatically preserves the complete history of each
specimen: issue date, purchase conditions, origin. They can
thus being securely transferred among collectors, thereby preserving the authenticity and history of each piece at the time of its transmission or resale.
The choice to embrace NFTs as the digital twin of the physical stamp is also for La Poste an opportunity to enrich the collecting experience, preserving the traditional codes of philately.
For this #NFTimbre5, the selling price of each block is €8.00 with €4 shipping costs (free preparation costs with the purchase of two NFTimbre or a Pack Coqs français).

Last November 2024, even le Poste Italiane had inaugurated the new era in philately, presenting the first box set that integrates traditional stamps with their digital NFT twins.
Here, the pilot product is the “posta prioritaria Collezione gialla” box set, which celebrates the evolution of Posta Prioritaria from 1999 to 2008.
In May 2025, however, the crypto art duo, Hackatao, presented their NFT stamp collection inspired by two Austrian icons: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Hedy Lamarr. The 10,000 stamps were created in collaboration with Austrian Post.
