The workshop series progresses from fundamentals to advanced applications. April sessions establish core and SQL database foundations, teaching data manipulation, visualisation creation, and information extraction techniques.
Workshops in the month of May focus on practical applications including COVID testing data analysis and document library programming interfaces. These sessions connect basic coding to advanced concepts through work with actual datasets.
The next sessions will start to introduce some of the key machine learning concepts, such as feature importance, random forest, and natural language processing, in layman’s terms. Workshops in June will cover text, image, audio, and video analytics on pre-trained AI models.
Each of them offers hands-on coding practice rather than demonstrations. The series is accommodating to total beginners and people new to coding languages and encourages attendance in individual topics within the series.
