Musk Threatens to Sue Apple, Alleges Rigging of App Store to Favor ChatGPT

This is not the first time that Apple has been called out for its App Store ranking rules. In April, a US court found Apple had broken a previous order to allow more competition in app payments and downloads. The case came from a 2021 lawsuit by Fortnite-maker Epic Games, which accused of controlling the iPhone app market.
In Europe, Apple was fined €500 million earlier this year for breaking digital competition rules. The European Commission said Apple blocked app makers from guiding users to cheaper payment options outside the App Store. Apple is appealing the fine.
