Northern California first responders send urgent message amid major car crash

(FOX40.COM) — First responders in Northern California are urging drivers to be careful on roadways amid a major car crash Friday morning.

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles at the intersection of Gerber Road and Elk Grove-Florin Road in Sacramento County.

Multi-vehicle crash shuts down parts of I-5 in Sacramento, here’s what we know

Upon arrival, crews worked to extricate one critically injured individual from their vehicle and assist two others from their vehicles. All three patients were evaluated, treated, and transported to the hospital for further medical assessment.

“We urge our community members to exercise caution and prioritize the safety of other vehicles when entering intersections,” Metro Fire said. “Remember to buckle up, slow down, and be safe.”
