What is the WWE future of AJ Styles?
Earlier this afternoon, The Phenomenal One got the WWE Universe talking by posting an image on Instagram of his logo falling through an hourglass.
But what is AJ Styles’ current contract status with WWE, and where do things stand as it pertains to his future in the company?

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Styles signed a one-year extension with WWE earlier this year. Despite today’s retirement tease, WWE hopes to retain him when that current extension expires. But that will largely depend on his interest in continuing wrestling.
As for when this extension is set to expire, those close to Styles have told Sapp that the deal is set to expire around February 2026. If he chooses to retire, that would see him departing smack dab in the middle of the road to WrestleMania.
