(FOX40.COM) — Two suspects were arrested in connection with a shooting, kidnapping, and carjacking in Sacramento County Saturday morning.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said a man was shot in the face and assaulted with a baseball bat near Elkhorn Boulevard and Marysville Boulevard. One of the suspects allegedly stole his car while a woman was still inside.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle and a suspect fled on foot. According to SCSO, the woman was rescued unharmed, and both suspects were caught and arrested. The shooting victim is expected to survive.
