Serious injuries after SUV crashes into 2 Dayton homes

Several people are seriously hurt after an SUV crashed into two Dayton homes early Tuesday morning.

Officers and medics responded at 3:14 a.m. to the 800 block of Xenia Avenue near Boltin Street on reports that a car hit a house.

When firefighters arrived, they found a black SUV hit two homes on Xenia Avenue. There was also a concern about a possible gas explosion, according to Dayton District Fire Chief Tyler McCoy.

Medics transported several people to an area hospital with “life-threatening injuries,” McCoy told News Center 7′s Xavier Hershovitz.

Crews have managed to get the SUV out of the house.

Dayton firefighters and officers have blocked off Xenia Avenue and Boltin Street.
