For now, this program is only restricted to the U.K. and Japan. Currently, in the United Kingdom, Sony has partnered with the leasing company Raylo to offer various PS5 models and accessories to PS5 fans on flexible leasing terms. In Japan, Sony collaborated with video game retailer GEO to provide gamers with the same service, and in both cases, gamers accepted it wholeheartedly.
Gamers who want to take these consoles on lease have to sign either a 12, 24, or 36-month contract. The longer the contract, the more the monthly fees decrease on that basis. Presently, the model is like, leasing a PS5 Digital Edition costs £10.99 per month over 36 months, £11.99 over 24 months, £16.49 over 12 months, or £21.95 on a rolling monthly basis.
Coming to the standard PS5 console, with a disc drive, that’s available at slightly higher rates than the digital edition. About the PS5 Pro, it starts at £18.95 per month for a 36-month lease.
That’s not it; even are also there for rent. For example, if someone , the lease starts at £18.49 per month over 36 months, while the PlayStation Portal is available from £6.49 per month for the same term.
However, one must note that they only rent these devices. They aren’t the owners of it. So, they must return those devices once the lease ends unless they want to continue leasing it again.
