Trump Voters Are Sharing If He’s Lost Their Support, And MANY Of Them Are Sick About Alllll The Money They’ve Lost
Throughout Trump’s first 100 days in office, countless people have admitted they regret supporting him, so we asked people in the BuzzFeed Community who voted for Trump to share what he could do to lose their support.

In reaction to that post, several more people were inspired to share how the president could also lose their support in light of the money they’ve lost due to his decisions or policies.
The responses were eye-opening. Here are a few of them:
1.“I am a registered Republican, but I did not vote for Trump in 2024. I very reluctantly voted for him in 2016, hoping he might surprise me and change my opinion. He only reassured my original thoughts. He’s a self-centered, spoiled adult BRAT who achieved success because his father left $3 million for him at the age of 3 years old. He has poisoned the water for any politician to be trusted, especially Republicans. Shut your mouth and fix the government/economy the correct way. The world does NOT rotate around Donald Trump!”

Editor’s Note: Donald Trump has stated that his father gave him a $1 million loan. The New York Times later investigated and says the loan was closer to $60.7 million.
2.“He could lose my support if he advocated for abortion. But so far, I am pleased by what he has done, and as a Latina young woman, I am hopeful for the future.”

3.“He lost it on day one, and it’s just getting worse. I go to the store, and it’s always $100 for hardly any groceries. He has shown he doesn’t give two flying f**ks about his constituents. TIME TO REMOVE THE TYRANT AND ALL HIS GOONIES!”

4.“By continuing to follow the same path that Adolf Hitler did in the 1930s.”

5.“Trump lost my support a few weeks after he took office. I knew he was talking about cleaning up the government and fixing our immigration problem, but this is overboard. Thousands of people have lost their jobs, and hundreds of thousands more will because of the tariffs. DOGE is a joke at this point, especially after they claimed that they would save trillions and now estimate just $150 billion.”

“I feel like a fool. I started doing the responsible thing by reading more about Trump’s history. I wish I would have done all that before voting for him.”

6.“Donald Trump could lose my support if we don’t see positive economic gains over the next 12 months. At some point, we have to admit that the tariffs were an attempt at lowering trade deficits that failed.”

7.“He already has. I voted for him three times. I thought he would be for the people like he was before, but he isn’t. He and his co-president, Elon Musk, hate the American people unless you’re rich. I’m so very ashamed that I voted for him. I can’t read the news or watch the news. I do once in a while, but when I do, I suffer from extreme depression and anxiety. So very sad. I’m sorry to everyone that I voted for him.”

8.“Any cuts in Social Security or Medicare would be a deal-breaker and automatic loss of all support for President Trump, as he promised to keep his hands off of Social Security. Millions of Americans depend on those monthly checks to pay their bills and put food on the table. What a disaster it would be if he were to break his word to the people on this issue.”

9.“Only if the country crashes or my family and I can’t pay our bills and buy food.”

10.“He’s already lost it. He has the economic savvy of a 10-year-old. The whole world told him that tariffs would be a tax on the consumer, and the cost would be passed onto us. But the idiot still passed his tariffs, and they blew up in his face. My 401K is in shambles. He has alienated all of our allies and made us the laughing stock of the world.”

11.“He already has. He’s not doing anything strategically. It’s all chaos and BS. Boy, do I regret my vote.”

12.“He already lost my support when he turned over his authority to someone who was NOT on the ballot I received, that’s Elon Musk. I voted for Trump three times because I knew that we needed a non-politician as POTUS to see what all the politicians were hiding, and it pained me to see how Trump and his family were treated during his first term. However, firing low-level employees who were just following orders that were given to them made no sense. I’m all for trimming the fat to cut costs, but not from the bottom up.”

“I am 84 years old, and if I had any inkling that Musk was going to run the country, I never would have voted for Trump.”
—Anonymous
13.“I’m a huge Trump supporter and was so excited about him winning the election, but NOT anymore!! I never in a million years thought he would fuck up America the way he has!! I agree with his reasoning, but the way he has gone about it is completely wrong!!”
“What the hell is he thinking? Does he really think these tariffs would work? What an idiot he is!! I thought he was a sharp businessman, well apparently NOT! He has fucked up any chance for J.D. Vance to get elected, as I was hoping for after Trump finishes his term. What a shame!!”

14.“Continue to treat veterans as trash by destroying the only health care system in the world dedicated to the specific issues they face. Men and women answered the call to go willingly into harm’s way for their country, only to lose their health and, many times, their families. They should not have the only medical personnel who understand them systematically destroyed.”
“Almost everyone I know who served voted for him. I have NEVER voted for a Democrat, but as a result of his assault on the VA, I might, and expect I won’t be alone.”
—Anonymous
15.“His lies!!! Promises not kept!!! Disregard for our Constitution!!! Defying the judiciary!!! And the miserable jerk is gloating about his perceived decisions as being glorious!!! America can’t get rid of this corrupt wannabe dictator quickly enough!”

16.“Trump lost my support with the tariffs. Specifically, when he announced on Liberation Day that the market tanked and my IRA lost $30K in one day.”
“While many lost billions, they will be gaining billions in the future. Trump and Musk knew this would happen and are laughing all the way to the bank.”
—Anonymous
17.“He’s moving too fast with his changes to our government. Also we’ve lost many thousands of retirement funds from the stock market.”

19.“Veteran here. His treatment of Volodymyr Zelenskyy was deplorable, and on-camera. I would immediately fire any employee of mine who treated anyone with that amount of disrespect. I don’t care if it is a janitor or the president of another country. Absolutely embarrassing.”

20.“He already has. I voted for him because he promised that he was going to lower grocery prices, but instead, he imposes tariffs, backtracks, then turns around and says that most tariffs won’t go on for 90 days, but then he goes ahead and puts them on China.”
“I have been angry with him every day since last week when he crashed the stock market and refused to take responsibility for it, and then went golfing. I want him out of the White House, but we’re stuck with him until 2028. Why should we put up with his nonsense? We can and should have snap elections, or people will be more than willing to take matters into their own hands.”
—Anonymous
Editor’s Note: The phrase “crashed the stock market” is being used as hyperbole here. The stock market did not crash.
