Walton Goggins’ Met Gala Watch Shows Two Episodes Of ‘White Lotus’ Go A Long Way

  • Walton Goggins made his first Met Gala appearance.
  • The White Lotus star was rocking a limited edition Vacheron Constantin.
  • Goggins understood the Superfine brief.

Everyone’s favourite villain, Walton Goggins, has enjoyed a generational press run following the resounding success of HBO’s The White Lotus. And this year, checking into the 2025 Met Gala was certainly no different.

Making his first-ever appearance at fashion’s biggest night, Goggins brought the same offbeat energy fans love him for. Only this time, Goggins, dressed in a Thom Browne inside-out overcoat and skirt ensemble, embraced the gala’s Superfine theme with disarming confidence. But while his outfit turned heads, it was his wrist that told the real story.

Peeking out from the cuff of his crisp white shirt was the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Complete Calendar Openface, a refined, open-dial dress watch in white gold with triple calendar functionality.

We thought it was one of the standout novelties of Watches & Wonders this year, which, considering the embarrassment of riches on the floor in Geneva, is saying a hell of a lot. But of course, Vacheron had 270 years to celebrate; an anniversary that doesn’t come around all that often for watch brands, no matter how distinguished and historic they may seem. And so Vacheron blew out the candles in 2025 in its signature Swiss style.

Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Complete Calendar Openface

The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Complete Calendar Openface retails at around $85,000 USD. That’s the equivalent of two episodes of White Lotus Season 3, where stars are reportedly pulling in around $40,000 an episode.

It’s a detail you could easily miss if you weren’t paying attention, much like Goggins’ character in The White Lotus, who slips beneath the surface with unsettling ease. But watch guys clocked it instantly: that’s old-money elegance at its best. No diamonds, no stunt, just 270 years of Swiss horological authority quietly ticking away while he climbs the museum stairs.

The Vacheron choice is fitting. Goggins opted for something with restraint, nuance, and brains. A true watch collector’s piece. And a reminder that while TV money might not be what it used to be, two HBO episodes still go a long way in Geneva.
