At least four fatalities were reported from the storms in the City of St. Louis, according to Mayor Cara Spencer. It’s unclear how many others may have been hurt.
Preliminary information indicates there may have been a tornado that began just east of Hanley Road in Clayton that moved northeast toward Newstead Avenue and Page Boulevard in St. Louis, possibly through parts of Big Bend, Skinker, and North Kingshighway.
A tornado watch is in effect for the area until 7 p.m.
