Woman, 63, knocked unconscious during unprovoked attack in the Bronx: NYPD

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — The NYPD is searching for a suspect in connection to an unprovoked attack in the Bronx on Friday afternoon.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. in front of 2260 University Avenue.

Police say an unidentified individual approached a 63-year-old woman and punched her in the face, knocking her unconscious. The victim sustained a serious nose injury.

The NYPD released the following surveillance photo of the suspect, who fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
