XRPL Token Support Comes to Trust Wallet: Details – CryptoMode

Trust Wallet has officially integrated XRP Ledger (XRPL) token support, allowing users to store, send, and receive XRP and other assets issued on the network. This marks a major step in strengthening the coin’s presence in the broader crypto ecosystem by providing a decentralized, user-friendly, and secure option for managing those types of assets.

The XRP Ledger is a decentralized Layer 1 blockchain known for its speed, efficiency, and reliability. Now, with Trust Wallet’s latest integration, users can easily interact with tokens such as ARMY and RLUSD, alongside their existing XRP holdings.

This integration comes as the XRP Ledger undergoes key technological updates, including a new “Credentials” feature designed to enhance identity verification while preserving user privacy. This feature could help institutions comply with KYC and AML regulations without exposing sensitive data.

The network recently experienced a temporary halt in block production, pausing transactions for about an hour. No funds were lost, and developers quickly restored full functionality. The cause of the disruption remains under investigation, but the swift recovery highlights XRPL’s developer commitment.

Getting Started

To manage XRPL tokens on Trust Wallet, users should ensure they have the latest version of the app installed. Once updated, they can enable XRPL tokens by navigating to the “Manage crypto” section, selecting “XRP” from the network dropdown, and turning on the toggle switch for the desired assets.

Before receiving a specific XRPL token, it’s necessary to “enable” it, which involves a process to prevent unauthorized or scam tokens from being sent to the wallet. This process may incur network and reserve fees, which are blockchain fees not controlled by or paid to Trust Wallet.

More Developments Ahead for XRPL on Trust Wallet

This integration represents a major milestone for Trust Wallet and the XRP Ledger community. With the increasing adoption of tokenized assets, the move sets the stage for future developments within the network’s DeFi ecosystem.

Trust Wallet has hinted at further updates for the network in the upcoming weeks as well.
